Media Advisory: Aluminum Executives to Discuss Industry Trends at Association Spring Meeting

Senior-level executives from Noranda, Novelis, Scepter, Inc. and the Aluminum Association will talk about trends in the aluminum industry during the Aluminum Association’s spring meeting in San Antonio, TX – “The Power of Modern Metal.” Following brief opening remarks, the executives will be available for a Q&A session.

Following major recent announcements for the industry including the aluminum-intensive Ford F-150and the creation of the Department oF Defense-led American Lightweight Materials Manufacturing Innovation Institute, the aluminum industry is poised for continued growth in the modern manufacturing sector. The industry shipped more than 24 billion pounds of aluminum last year for the first time since 2007 as demand for the metal has grown 30 percent in the past four years alone.
