Aluminum Association Applauds Comments on Overcapacity from Department of Commerce Secretary Nominee Wilbur Ross

ARLINGTON, VA -- The Aluminum Association commended remarks today by Secretary of Commerce nominee Wilbur Ross on the continued impact of Chinese overcapacity on the domestic steel and aluminum industries. In response to a question from Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Ross argued that the “fundamental problem” in the market today is in China’s overproduction of metal.
