ARLINGTON, VA – The Aluminum Association announced today the addition of four new member companies, National Safety Apparel, International Thermal Systems, Nutec Bickley and MINO S.p.A. All four companies join as associate members – any firm that supplies the aluminum industry with goods and services.

“We are thrilled to have National Safety Apparel, International Thermal Systems, Nutec Bickley and MINO S.p.A. join us as the newest members of the Aluminum Association,” said Heidi Brock, President & CEO of the Aluminum Association. “With the U.S. aluminum industry at the forefront of the news in recent weeks, ensuring we have a diversity of perspective in our membership remains a top priority. We look forward to working with them as we continue to represent the interests of the full aluminum value chain.”

The four new companies join during the eighth straight year of demand growth for the industry, with demand up 45.1 percent since 2009. However, persistent illegally subsidized Chinese overcapacity is distorting the market and hurting the entire domestic aluminum value chain.

The Aluminum Association is committed to combatting unfair and unsustainable trade practices to ensure the continued health of the entire industry. Most recently, the Aluminum Association’s Trade Enforcement Working Group won an antidumping and countervailing duties investigation on certain aluminum foil imports from China, the association’s first-ever trade case of its kind. As membership continues to grow, the association will continue to advocate for rules-based trading practices.
