ARLINGTON, VA. — Aluminum Association President & CEO Heidi Brock has been selected to serve on the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and ASAE Foundation Boards of Directors. The ASAE Leadership Committee announced the Board nominees in a press release earlier this week.
“Heidi will add great value to the Board of Directors for ASAE and the Foundation,” said Michelle O’Neill, Senior Vice President at Alcoa and Chair of the Aluminum Association. “Her strategic mindset and leadership at the association has brought the industry to new heights in terms of its advocacy profile and engagement in Washington, DC. Associations can do tremendous work for industries and the people they employ. I’m pleased that Heidi will be able to apply her experience at the Aluminum Association and support other groups as they navigate challenges and opportunities ahead.”
ASAE, which represents 7,400 organizations from across the country and around the world, provides research, education and community for the association and nonprofit sectors. The Boards of Directors utilize their combined leadership and experience to provide strategic direction and to fulfill ASAE’s mission.
“It is a great honor to serve on the ASAE and ASAE Foundation Boards of Directors,” Brock said. “I look forward to bringing the perspective of manufacturing associations to ASAE, and am excited to support its work raising awareness on the important contributions of associations and professional societies.”
Brock recently completed a 3-year term as a board director with the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and previously served as Chair of the NAM’s Council of Manufacturing Associations (CMA). Other nominees for the ASAE Board of Directors include Michael Dominguez, Senior Vice President, MGM Resorts International; Sheri L. Jacobs, President & CEO, Avenue M Group; Stefanie Reeves, Executive Director, Maryland Psychological Association; and Thomas Smith III, Executive Director, American Society of Civil Engineers. Dominguez and Jacobs will also serve on the ASAE Foundation Board of Directors.
