Australia's Tomago aluminium smelter has been forced to cut its power to conserve electricity as a heat wave grips much of the country. Emirates Global Aluminium has announced that its subsidiary Guinea Alumina Corporation has awarded an engineering and programme management consultancy contract for its under-construction bauxite mine in the Republic of Guinea in West Africa to Fluor Corporation.
