Outotec's Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Markku Teräsvasara (51) as Chief Executive Officer. He will commence in his new position on November 1, 2016 at the latest.

Markku Teräsvasara is currently President of Atlas Copco's Mining and Rock Excavation Service Division. He has been employed by Atlas Copco since 1997.

Talex casthouse operational

The Talex casthouse, which started operating in February 2016, was built as a turnkey plant by Hertwich Engineering. After the (now completed) first expansion stage the annual output will be around 30,000 to 40,000 tonnes of extrusion billets.
